Graham Rawle: There are no ruby slippers...

Category:
Date: Tue, 10 March, 2009
Author: Neil Fairbrother

In this video podcast Graham Rawle, author and illustrator, discusses his latest work, a reworking of The Wizard of Oz and along the way busts a few myths such as the complete absence of ruby slippers in this classic story, the original American Fairy Tail.

Graham is also the creative genius behind the long running series "Lost Consonants" in the British daily newspapers and explores how illustration and typography can be used to enhance traditional linear story telling in his books such as The Diary of an Amateur Photographer and Woman's World, which is being made into movie as we type this.
