The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign
Have you heard of The Royal Marsden Hospital? They specialise in treating people with cancer - 40,000 of them each year in fact. And one of the reasons there're good at it is that they're also world leaders in research, drug trialling and diagnostics. To remain at the front line in the fight against cancer they're continually learning about it, talking about, and most of all using cutting-edge techniques to treat it. Which is why their investment into a revolutionary machine, da Vinci S is so exciting. Listen to this exclusive interview with pioneering surgeon Professor Sir Ara Darzi discussing the advances in minimally invasive surgery, and the significance of this incredible robot. And if you're able, donate online and help the Royal Marsden buy the da Vinci.

We were humbled by the experience of recoding this show. it was actually funded by a former patient of the Royal Marsden who wanted to do something different and imaginative to help the hospital by way of a thank you to them for the cancer-beating treatment they'd received from the hospital.
The hospital did in the end raise enough money to buy the Da Vinci robot and we feel proud to have played a part in helping them achieve their aim.
