S130 The Last Survivor pt 5
The fifth installment of this unique series of video podcasts. The S130 rescue crew rode their luck with the winter weather for as long as they could; on the second attempt they successfully extricated S130 from Willhelmshaven. Overnight the high pressure system began to crumble and the weather started to deteriorate. It became increasingly clear that reaching the UK wasn’t an option on this passage, so cutting their losses the team headed for Den Helder. Just in time as a Force 5 wind set in, making further headway impossible, under tow.
